Overview

Dr. Maryam Jernigan-Noesi is a licensed psychologist, clinician-scientist and organisational strategist whose work centres on race, healing and human development. Through Jernigan & Associates, the practice she founded in 2008, she has trained more than 30,000 professionals and advised state and federal agencies, university systems, K–12 schools, healthcare organisations, professional associations and corporations.

Her advisory work had grown beyond the practice’s website. She needed a site of her own: one that introduced her as a leader in her field, set out her framework and her practice, and made it easy to book a consultation.

What we did:

Shaped her story into a site: who she is, how she works, and the record behind it.

Gave her Connecting to Ancestral Wisdom framework a section of its own.

Brought her education, publications, awards and media together in one place.

Designed and built the website, with a way to book a consultation from across the site.

Story

Systems Weren’t Built For Everybody. She’s Changing That.

The site opens on the conviction behind her work, then introduces the person: a psychologist and organisational strategist who works with institutions on the systems that shape people’s lives.

What We Did

  • About: Her story, her practice and the institutions she works with.
  • Education: A PhD in Counseling Psychology from Boston College, an M.Ed. from Vanderbilt and a B.A. from Fisk University, with postdoctoral fellowships at Harvard Medical School and Yale School of Medicine.

Framework

Connecting To Ancestral Wisdom.

Dr. Jernigan-Noesi’s framework moves through four stages. We gave it a section of its own, so a visitor can follow how her work unfolds before they meet her.

What We Did

  • Set out the framework’s four stages: Recognition, Restoration, Relation and Renewal.
  • Designed the section to be read in order, one stage at a time.

The practice

Her advisory work covers organisational change, executive advisory and culture transformation, for agencies, university systems, schools, healthcare organisations, associations and companies. The site sets that work out for each of them, with a consultation one step away.

What We Did

The Record Behind The Work.

For the institutions she advises, her record matters. The site brings it together in one place, ready to grow as she publishes.

  • Media: Selected appearances, including NPR, HuffPost and WBUR.
  • Books: A section ready for her books as they’re announced.

Dr. Jernigan-Noesi has a website of her own that introduces her to the institutions she advises, sets out her framework and her practice, and makes it easy to start a conversation.
